Here you can find out how to create a user, define their authorisations and send them a user invitation.
Invite users in the test phase
It makes sense to invite additional users in order to be able to test Scopevisio properly. We have already provided for this: During the test period, you can easily invite up to 25 additional users by e-mail.
Click on Global or Organisation > Setup wizard and then on the link How can I add more users? (1)
A link for inviting additional users will then be displayed (2). Click on it.
A form will appear in which you can easily invite additional users by e-mail. Enter the person's details in the "Invite user" area and then click on the Save or Invite icon.
Note the User type field: if you select "Administrator", the user is given extensive rights and can assign themselves further authorisations.
If you continue your instance beyond the test period, you should check the created users for administrator rights.
The user will receive an e-mail containing your invitation and a link to log in to Scopevisio. At the same time, they will be displayed in Scopevisio as a new user (status: Invited).
Click on the "Start Scopevisio" link to open the browser and download the scopevisio.exe start-up file. Starting the file opens the login window, where a password is initially set by the new user via "Forgot password".
As soon as the new user has logged in, their status in the user list changes from Invited to Active.
Create regular users
In order to test special rights assignments or configurations, it may be useful not to create users in the test phase using the quick method described. You can create users as normal at any time, read the article Manage users and the following articles from the Administration section.
Testing and assigning licences
You can activate additional licences as part of your free trial. You can do this from the regular user creation or directly via the shop.
Select licences
You will be taken to the shop area. Here you can book licences for a fee or select licences for 30 days for test purposes. In the tariff configurator, first select Extend test scope.
Then select the desired applications or additional professional functions and click on Test now. You will be informed when the trial period ends. The function is available immediately.
You can now assign it to new users.
