  1. All reports are output in local currency by default. Other currencies are labelled as foreign currency. If amounts do not show a special currency identifier, they are always local currency amounts.

  2. You can enter your client number and the consultant number of your tax advisor here as default values for DATEV exports.

  3. If your VAT business focus is in Germany or Austria, the country code field is pre-filled with DE or AT.
If you do not only participate in the VAT procedure in the country of your business focus, allow additional country codes here.
Customers from the Catering sector can differentiate their branches using the field Department/house number.

  4. After activating the apportionment calculation, you can work with apportionment keys in the Controlling area.

  5. Relevant for migration scenarios by our consultants. This may affect DATEV compatibility.

  6. Specify whether an employee in the organisation chart can only be assigned to one position or several positions simultaneously. This is also related to organisation chart node-related approvals of the invoice receipt book or department-related approvals in DMS Teamwork.

  7. Specify whether the company is an authorised target company in the context of central master data management.

  8. If you carry out sales as part of the OSS (One-Stop-Shop) regulation, you can make the corresponding settings here(handout on OSS - PDF).
If your company is part of a VAT group, you can access the corresponding settings here.

  9. If you have licenced the Pliant credit card feature, you can specify the type of document transfer or posting type here (creditor via invoice receipt book or directly as an expense against the Pliant account).

Posting settings

Define basic settings relating to posting here.

  1. To prevent the figures reported for VAT purposes from being inadvertently changed at a later date, you can automatically close the period transmitted to the tax office. The periods can be reopened manually in the financial year management.

  2. Specify the taxation type for VAT. The normal case is TARGET taxation, which takes the posting date into account. If you are an ACTUAL taxpayer, your revenue is only taxed for VAT when payment is received (clearing via financial account posting). Please read more about ACTUAL taxation here.

  3. If you determine your profit using a balance sheet (business assets comparison), select revenue posting on invoicing. The setting Income surplus calculator (according to §4 para. 3 UstG) is correct for users of certain interface configurations.
Please read more about the EÜR here.

  4. If you want to address the same G/L account in debit and credit in a posting, activate this setting. You may encounter problems when exporting to external systems.

  5. You can activate an additional control criterion for the tax key assignment via the tax type check. You enter the tax type of the G/L accounts themselves in the account master in the "Tax" area.
