Display all postings on one dimension in the dimension journal in the form of a posting journal and use the option to make mass changes.
Select Finance > Controlling > Cost accounting. Move the mouse over the dimension and click on the blue double arrow to call up the dimension's function menu. There, select Show dimension journal.
Display in the dimension journal
The dimension journal contains a tabular list of the bookings for the set period.
The bookings are also displayed in a graph.
Both the total bookings and the bookings on the dimension are displayed.
Change the assignment of dimensions
The cost center structure changed at the beginning of the year, but several dozen were still imported with the old cost center? Change this in one step.
The dimension accounts of individual postings can be easily changed via the document details. You can also change or add to the dimension accounts of several postings via the dimension journal.
First adjust the period and click on Show. At the bottom of the form, expand the Change dimension accounts section and specify whether the change should apply to all filtered elements or only to the selected (highlighted) element(s) (the table below shows your options).
Enter or select the desired dimension account in the New dimension account field. Click on Change to enter or change the dimension account for all bookings according to the assignment.
