Asset management

Updated over 2 months ago

In asset management, the existing assets are displayed in tabular form, with each line corresponding to an asset. You can find this overview via the menu item Finance > Assets > Asset management, or alternatively under Finance > Reports > Accounting > Books > Asset ledger.

Information such as account, cost center, APC date and more is provided for the fixed assets. The amount columns (APC, book value) show the historical data and are intended as a guide when selecting an asset and not as an evaluation.

The following controls are available at the bottom of the form:

Add: Opens a blank fixed asset card to create a new fixed asset.

Edit: Left-click to open the asset card of the selected asset. This takes you to the asset card of the asset.

Duplicate: To create a copy of a selected asset, click on this element. A new asset card opens in which the account, the depreciation type and period, the APC amount and the book value are already preassigned.

Remove: If you want to delete an asset, select it in the table and click on this element. After a confirmation prompt, the asset is deleted.

Removal is not an asset disposal! It is used to delete accidentally capitalized assets. Depreciation already carried out within a financial year is corrected by the depreciation run. However, the acquisition posting in the financial accounting is not affected.

Inventory card: Left-click to go directly to the individual inventory card.

By activating the "Hide depreciated assets" checkbox, all depreciated assets
(APC = 0) are hidden to improve the overview.

Finding fixed assets in the asset management overview

The table offers the usual Scopevisio functions for finding specific groups of fixed assets using filters. We recommend using the extended table filter and limiting the data by specifying the account as well as filtering out the disposed assets. For the latter, use the checkbox at the bottom of the table (alternatively: filter the retirement date column with the value <empty>).
